Ok im graduating from high school, woooooo finally, and i have an 03 cav 5 speed and next summer i wanna turbo it but i am looking to do some, SOME internals, im not lookin to spend 5 grand and do a complete build but some stuff so it can be safer to boost my car and so maybe i can get a little more hp out of it if im lookin to spend roughly 1800 to 2500 on parts where do i start and what do i get? pistons, camshafts, rings what? please any imput will help
how much power are you hoping to get out of the car?
I would go with rods and pistons (which means wrist pins, piston rings ect..) throw in new bearings for everything, get the block machined, head gasket, depending on mileage might as well throw a new oil pump in while its apart. Then somethign like a Hahn stage 2 kit but upgrade to the bigger turbo, add a boost cotroller then HPTuners. You should be happy with that, worse case scenario you can alway throw some nitrous at it if yours still not satifed
btw carcustoms > everyone else
unless your going to run more than 10lbs of boost the eco is pretty stable, I have 91,000 miles on my car and im still beating the @!#$ out of it boosted

Eh keep in mind it's been proven to handle 15psi tuned.. Remember Josh even spiked to 21psi on his at one point but it wasn't run there constantly.

Had to change sig because some dickhead is mad it went 1 letter over size
o well i was looking to run about 10 or 11 psi and want it to be safe and i have about 25000 miles on it now, will new connecting rods, pistons and piston rings be good and maybe new valve springs and studs?
