I just got my new magnaflow dual cat back with a magnaflow high flow cat. I love it, except for the snapping, crackling and popping. I'm pretty sure its a 3 inch pipe but I dont know for sure. Will a resonator help to fix my problem? Or is there something else I can do?

yes buy one it will help out.. Y do u have 3 in piping are u boosted? if not u are not gaining anything from it.
I'm pretty sure its not 3. I think it is 2 1/4". This is the one u got from Mark, right?
Wide Body Progress
i have one, the larger the resonator the better. cuz i put a 12" on and it was lower sownding but still poped so i got another one and the same. soo unles your going boosted get the bigest you can get.
its 2 1/4
^The size of the resonator will not affect performance, boosted or otherwise. It's a straight-through design so there's no restriction to speak of.
I figured out the problem. its uneven pressure in the mufflers. The way the kid before me had it set up sucked. So i am going to change it around. IT should help the crackling and popping. I'll explain in detail later

Your going to have uneven pressure in the mufflers just because it is not a true duel set-up.
EVERYONE that has the Magna or RKS duel set up, and EVERYONE that has done the Camaro / Firebird custom job has had uneven pressure. This is generally told by the amount of carbon we get on our tips, or the amount of steem we see when we start the car on a cold morning.
It sounds to me that you just need a longer res. the longer the res, the less the car will sould like a bee hive and the less it will pop
do 2 12" res and 1 24" give different resolts
I have a single magnafolw exhaust and its popped from day one. Resonator is the only way to dampen it. Do you have a cat? Cats reduce it some too.
...but when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object,
evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty,
to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security...
got the Magnaflow Dual setup with a 20" Glasspack, sounds pretty good atleast on the inside anyway, and not too bad from the times I've heard others drive my car, real deep tone to it. I still get popping when i let off the gas though from time and again, but its just physics.
magnaflow told me that there no point going dual exhaust unless your boost otherwise the dual setup can actually hurt your horsepower

yes....... an X pipe that connects and crosses the exhaust flow form both cylinder banks will work perfect
Personally I love the popping sound

I dunno about that, my car had them from the factory, and it was rated at the same as the Cavalier of the same year.. I know it's heavier and mainly for looks, but dunno about the performance part that far along the exhaust line.
