Definately lube all moving engine parts when installing them.

Get a tube/container of the moly-lube paste and slather the lobes before installing them. After you run it for a hour or so, change the oil. That will work well. I do it to all my motors i rebuild.

Any Autozone/Advance/NAPA..etc has the assembly lube/moly lube grease. It's only about $5 and the best insurance you can buy to do a fresh startup. I also slather my bearings rod/main, cam bearings, cam lobes, lifter bottoms..etc. Any metal to metal contact point that won't be lubed until the oil pump pressure comes up should be done.
