I have a pacesetter in my 2200 engine. Pretty easy to install, beause the header is towards the front of the car. As far as the CAI goes. You shouldn't HAVE to have a bypass valve ... its on there so water doesnt get into your engine. So, basically ... dont drive though any lakes/deep puddles. Also, im pretty angry when people get "sucked" into the CAI ploy .... click on the link

Ok, now I understand. Sorry for the confusion about the header/cat-back exhaust. I read your profile and it seems that you want to supercharge it. Well ... IF you do that ... you don't want anything bigger than a 2.5" or 2.25" opening diameter (I need help on this org junkies ) Because if you go anything bigger, you are just losing your hp. To, basically sum it all up ... wait for the exhaust, don't get the header. I wouldn't get any of those choices. Pacesetter is a lazy bastards way of getting an exhaust system ... and rksport is damn expensive. Just go to your local muffler/exhaust shop and tell them that you want either compression or mandrel bends (I also need help with the org, cant remember which one is better for the ecotec). It will probably run you about 250 - 300 bucks with material and labor in the cost.

IF you can do all of that stuff yourself 100% ... then go to Jegs.com and build your own exhaust system. That is IF and ONLY IF you know how and what you are doing. The worst thing you want, is to be suck on an exhaust job don't know what to do ... and have to bring it in. Also, get the full exhaust system, in your profile it doesn't look like you have even have a header, it will be ALOT easier to weld the aftermarket down pipe to the exhaust system as opposed of going from a stock down pipe to a new cat-back.

I hope that helps your quest

I would just go to a shop and have something custom made.

i had my exhaust custom made, and it has a better sound than most i've heard on cavaliers around here.

Vibrant cat back system here, sounds fine. (Also have an RKSport 4-1, and Magnaflow High Flow Cat.)
