knocking problem

ok so tonight i was doing a burnout like i normally can do but after i stopped there was a knocking coming from the bottom of my engine towards the back. i have no idea what it is but when i give my car gas usually above like 3000 rpms it starts to knock and it sounds alot louder from the engine. i have an 02 with a 2.2l. if anyone can help thanks.

i havent really been able to check all my engine mounts and stuff yet cuz it happened in the dark but im gonna look tomorrow and see. anything else it could be.

when mine had the knock of death it was the rod brearing's on #1& #3 rods .. also a 2200.. I droped the oil pan and found this .. see pic .. vvvvvvvv

You take a women and X her by PSI devide the legs and you can then juice the car......LOL

yep 2200 notorious for rods snapping. lol better hope its not a rod if it is then it gives you an excuse to trash that motor and drop in an eco.

thats a bad thing to say, he cant drive a 2200 so the extra power the eco would give him he wouldnt know what to do

Yeah I can say I have never heard that before. Maybe a 2.4, but not a 2200.

when snapping rod bearing or main bearing, can you just swap a new crank with bearing or the rod will have to be checked and block also?
my 2.4 started to knock really bad and i wanted to repair myself but without taking the engine out, so basically just install new crank and bearings.

ok well today i pulled the top half of my engine apart and everything was fine so the only thing it could be now is a broken bearing so looks like a new rebuilt engine for me. oh and twisted motorsports its ok cuz i can handle a car with alot of power. actually one with about 400 whp.

hey thanks that really helps do they install the engine also. if not do u know a pretty affordable engine shop that will install it.
