Boardorgohome wrote:im sure it can be done but you are going to want some sort of adapting flange....if you try to line the ports up not only are they different sizes but the port spacing is diferent as well

Just say the word and it can be created, lol.
I am going to be picking up a eco intake mani for more information on this topic. There are two ecos at a local yard, so I will start taking some measurements and stuff.
Cool idea

I have a HO mani and spare head here now. I've been wanting to look into this for a while.
hey chris....i already got the 2.2 eco flange in autocad....let me know
it was done by a drafter whos been doing it for like 20 years now
my guess on how it would be done is have one side of the flange bolt to the head with the stock bolts and have the adaptions to the HO ports...then you would have threaded holes in the actual flange for the HO to bolt on to...

I really would prefer a head to make the design off. Just having the intake manifold is hard so the combo of head and intake is great. When I was designing the 2.4 Flange I almost did not take into account the extrusions for the injectors. I am going to the JY this weekend to possibly buy a head or whole motor, at minimum the intake mani.
Boardorgohome- Would you mind sharing the CAD? I still need to get a head but the cad will help. I am going to be making a trip to the machine shop next week to go through our options. I am going to start an interest thread to see if there is a general market for production.
Thanks
Chris

if those manifolds flow better then the ecotec stock manifold then there would be a benefit

of course it does, just compare the designs.

Blew it up, build numbers coming soon
They also wouldn't sit so high (on the 03's and up), meaning an aftermarket intake may not rub against your hood like many presently do.
