i was wondering whats the deal with the secret weapon intake that claims to put out 2 x more air than any other intake and i want an intake that can hook up dirctly from the throttle body and not on the outlet of that lil 2200 plastic piece any info would be great i also seen someone just take the whole unit off and just pu a filter on and used a dummy plug for the sensor but i wouldnt know if i would be happy with that ghetto setup although ive seen worse

buy a $30 intake off ebay. honestly, an intake is an intake is an intake. they're all a pice of pipe with a filter on the end. there's no justfyable reason to shell out $200+ for a piece of pipe and a cone filter.

Phuk I thought I had a deal for you. For whatever reason Nopi went up $60 on the price as I just paid $50 a couple weeks ago for the Number #1 CAI for the 2200. Straight AEM copy, but it comes with a crappy filter, which I replaced with a AEM dryflow. Only problem I found was taking out the grommet for the IAT sensor it had the round cutout of aluminum hanging on by a thread and if it had broke and went in the engine....... Just something to check for. Link to
intake. Uh, one day I'll come up with a better bracket for the clutch resevoir.

I got it for $50, free shipping (most ebay stuff has a ridiculous shipping charge of around $20, making the $30 intake really a $50 intake), eliminates the black box that a lot of the wai kits leave on, and it's a true cold air intake instead of warm air (granted that's still a debatable subject). Like I said in my first post they raised the price suddenly, but that doesn't mean the price won't drop again making it more worthwile.

most intakes i see on ebay cost $5.99, with $25 shipping... by my math that comes to $30.99... which isnt bad for a piece of metal pipe, and a cone filter. i wasn't saying you didnt get a good deal, $50 for a cai is incredible, but even so, if you dont like the stock intake box, just take it out.

The Nopi CAI is a good setup. It takes air from outside the engine bay. And Its away from lots of water...
