I bought the MSD coil packs ,part number 8224, for my 1999 cav 2200. I know they just blot right up in the stock location. My question is about a little rubber piece that came with the coil packs. It's a little oval red rubber piece with 2 slits in it and a whole in the middle. I know it would go over the terminals in between the mount and the coil, but am I supposed to use it with my application. I haven't seen anyone mention it in my searching, and I wasn't sure if it was just a universal part for other GM cars or if I need to use it on my car. Thanks for your help.

Its a replacement piece for the OEM gasket thingy at the terminals. Not necessary to use, only if you want to.
