High idle? - Performance Forum

High idle?

I just did the 2.3 HO manifold sawp and i just got her running the other day and it idels around 1100 and then when i took he for a spin it fells kind of slugish. When i let off the gas it takes forever for it to idle down? do you guys have eny ideas. Thanks

You can search all my high idle threads, I seemed to have fixed mine ( at least temporarily) by unplugging the TPS sensor, disconnecting the battery, wait about an hour, hook em both back up. I did that nearly 2 weeks ago and my car has been fine ever since. KNOCK ON THE ENTIRE LUMBER YARD.

Thanks man. how do you fix this? i can be driving along and when i let off it will rev up and down for like 30 secs

might be a vacuum leak.

i would deffinately check all your gaskets to make sure none got improperly seated.

Thanks guys.The stock mani is back on and its still goin the same thing, I dont see how its a Vac leak but ill check them again, ill also check the gaskets. Thanks guys. im taking the TB spacer off so that might help b/c that has a gasket. Im also thinking it getting air in between the stock mani and the head but idk why it would b/c the bolts are tight. ill try thos hits. Thanks

i checked for the Vac leak couldnt find one. the bolts on the Mani are still tight. the stock air box is back on. and i just found out that my Crouse dosnt work eather
