ok, well my cracked not too much ago and i took the whole engine apart to be on the safe side.
i notice that rod end play was wayyy too much, like 1/4" on 2 rods. look like the eagle rods eaten the crank toward the rear engine side. its like if the rod was pushed that direction.
machine shop doesn't have a clue as why it did that. main side play was good, only rods wasn't.
anyone have an idea of what could have cause this? i dont want to put a new crank and have the same thing happen.
thanx
should say crank eaten by rods
Check the pistons and see if the rods chewed the same side as the crank. is it an automatic or manual?
Project Resurrection is in full swing!
no, the pistons are fine. i have a manual. but as i said, the main was good so its not a tranny problem...
