Im looking at an exhaust and Pacesetter headers. The two below \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/

70-1279 J-Body 02-05 2.2L PaceSetter Mild Steel Header . from AplusPerformance.

Good combo? Or better money spent with something else first?

I'm a big fan of Pacesetter headers, but not so much their catbacks. I don't really care for the looks. I think Magnaflow is a much better way to go. http://www.gravanatuning.com

The headers are good, but they tend to rust from what I've seen...And I remember hearing that there catbacks are raspy as hell.. Go for a custom setup so you know what your getting.

When buying a Pacesetter you almost HAVE to get it coated. A painted one might only last a few years depending on where you live, but the coated one will last practically as long as the car.

The PS CB isn't raspy by any means, it actually sounds decent, but looks like ass IMO. Plus the CB is mild steel and it WILL rust. A nice off the shelf Stainless Magnaflow CB will last a long time, but I'd also put on a Maganflow resonator because that one is a little raspy.

Fstcav- I never heard one in person so Im going by wat I heard. As far as the header i've seen them rust but i would still buy em lol. Still I would rather spend the money on a custom exhaust, with a mag cat, glasspack, and either a flowmaster or magnaflow muffler ...

Robert a custom setup is where you basically pick what you want for your exhaust and have it welded up at a shop.

For example you can pick up a Magnaflow hi-flow cat, cherry bomb glasspack, and whatever muffler you like. Than go to a midas or exhaust shop and they'll bend, weld up the pipes, and install it for about $100... if you need any help pm me or hit me up on aim.
