i have began gathering parts for my engine swap to a 2.4 into a 97 Sunfire I have. I have aquired a 99 ECU, engine wiring harness and tranny. So i got a few questions to help this move along swiftly as possible
1) I got to doing some reading and from what I understand I can only use a 99 J engine with these correct? Because of some of the diffrences or can I use the 97-98 as well just need to change some things. (if i read right EGR and knock sensor might be an issue)
2) I got thinking about the gauge cluster from the 99 setup would be digital and the sunfire is rollers. Just checking to see if this will be an issue.

Also anything anyone else might think of that would be good info or problems I might encounter with this particular swap. All help would be appreciated.

OK I got time to do some research today and from what I can read I can just leave all the EGR stuff off and be good to go. I have a 99-02 header and a HO manifold (running direct port nitrous)
So basically I am down to starter and injectors. I just need to make sure I get high impedance injectors. Can I use either starter.

Also I still need to know about the cluster.
