I have been doing a lot of reading on the saab turbo setup. I have also read that the ecotec is a modular motor, so some parts from the LSJ motor can be swapped onto an L61. My question is, does anyone know if:
1) would any useful parts from the saab B207R, such as pistons, rods, head maybe, fit with an L61?
2) if this is possible, is the saab motor strong enough to make it worth it?
If so, picking up a used motor out of the junkyard would give you not only a turbo setup but also the components to do a budget build to make our motors better able to handle power. This might have been discussed before, I couldn't find anything about it though. Just a thought I wanted to put out there.
