What cat-backs are available for a 99 Sunfire GT? I picked up a used 99 for my daughter and the exhaust is totally ghetto so I want to do something about it. The only dual outlet system I can find is the Maganflow set up. I like Magnaflow stuff, but I'm not sure I want a system without a resonator. Plus I'm not a big fan of the tips they put on it. Any help would be appreciated.

you'd be better off going to a muffler shop and having them make one for you rather than buying a name brand one

x2 It will cost you a lot less money to get done also. And you would be able to choose your own tips and put a resonator on it.
I can get a Magnaflow catback for right around $500 shipped. Does anyone know the size of the stock intermediate pipe and the approximate dimensions of the OE mufflers???

dual exit exhaust does nothing but add weight to our cars, in turn slowing them down. and muffler shop worth their mustard could MAKE from scratch a 2.25 cat back with the muffler of your choosing for around $300. most likely less. i did my own with 2.25 mandrel in my driveway for $200, pipe muffler and hangers included.

Not trying to be an A#&hat, but I'm not building a street racer. I have my own cars...check my sig. This car is for my 17 year old daughter. I'm just trying to put the car a little more back to stock and fill the rear bumper holes, plus duals look cooler any way. I want to be able to reuse as much as possible (there is a resonator on the car now). So they should be able to step up the intermediate pipe a bit but there are limits so I want to get mufflers that will work and add my own tips.

Went with a coustom set up. 2 x Magnaflow 11365s and the OE tips off my 1994 Formula. Total was $198 for the mufflers and the install.
I have a sound clip, but I'm not sure how to add it.

As you can see from the video most of the exhaust is comeing out of the drivers side muffler, but it does get sound out of the passenger side. Plus it looks better with two tips.
