just a though know the infinity g35 well it has dual air intake which got me a thinkin cant we make our own dual intake for our lovely cavaliers you know just a though if it can be done then let me know ill be glad to do it!
Ummm,
few questions....
#1 Unless your cavalier is making 1000+ horsepower (which none of ours are...) Why would you EVER need two air filters?
#2 Same as #1 except why would you ever even need two pipes
#3 Why would anyone actually think this is beneficial to performance when it adds unecessary weight unless you are going for an all out performance build?
The only and I mean ONLY situation I could see this being used is a turbo application since pressure drop across a filter can vastly affect how easily the compressor will surge and how efficient the compressor is during operation. But even then, we are talking a 5-10 degree difference in temperature of the air. That kind of difference should be taken care of by any good intercooler setup or better VE numbers.

typically (not every case) the reason for twin intakes it because of either twin turbos or twin throttle bodies. When you see twin filters on 1 pipe its usually to keep the engine look symmetrical which is more pleasing to the eye.
ok thanks it was just a though i think of alot of things that arnt really well thought out but it just a ideal so dark is the g35 twin turbo? oh and alex lookin at your picture if that white cava is your and looking at your engine you have a 2.2 ohv whats your specs if you dont mine by me asking cause i have a 2.2 and dont really know a good setup cause you seem like you know alot so educate me
Well to be frank I have an intake, Plug wires, A full header back 2.25" stainless exhaust with a magnaflow 22" res and a 5x8 oval magnaflow muffler (Both straight through) Eibach prokit and KYB aGX's waiting to go on with 17" ADR cyphers in gunmetal.
I'm putting down an astonishing Stock horsepower rating but you can give or take a marginal 5 or 6 horsepower on a good day from the upgrades. (Not joking people)
But I have a secret and it involves a motor swap not only to piss off the LD9 and eco guys but to rep the 2200 and the 4speed auto big time at the strip.
I'll be representing one of the few 2200's running megasquirt EFI too...
But you did'nt here it from me....cause its a secret....

doesnt the g35 have twin intakes because it has 2 heads?? its like asking if it would be good to have 2 headers because you saw it on a camaro.....

Alex, you say you are running the megasquirt? I'm running the megasquirt v2 on my '91. unfortunately I've not been able to dyno the car, its still in pieces, but I've been wanting to badly becuase I want to know if its worth it to put one in my '94. I don't want to dig at your secrets, but does the MS make a marked improvement? I also would like to prove the LN2's capabilities on the strip. not asking for specs/#'s, just some insight. Thanks.
twin intakes are for dual throttle bodies (usually reserved for V-style engines)
or as darkstars said, twin turbo. the G35 is NOT twin turbo from the factory.

a tuning device can only help the car so much as its mechanical modifications allow. in other words, on a basically stock vehicle, tuning doesn't help too much. but the more you have in mods the more important it is to have a good tune

Right. I can say I knew all of that. the car which I have mine installed in is pretty heavily modified. I was mostly looking for his personal experience because outside of the "secret" modifications the modifications looked to be limited, (no offense alex, I don't know your car) so I was wondering how far a "good tune" could go for an LN2. Some cars are de-tuned from the factory, or just tuned for reasons other than performance.
Well its long drawn out story but the long and the short answer is that currently I'm not running MS EFI. I will be however.
