thats what she said
sorry i have nothing constructive to add
I do not know for sure however an exhaust shop can always move your cat closer to the header and I think the high flow cats might be not quite as long. I am not quite for sure you might want to look into that.

i got one, it fits.
it fits, if you have any trouble just jam it right in there

I had a 30" under mine, basically welded right behind the cat, then at the end of the res the pipe immediately bends towards the axle

Im putting on a 28" but may cat may have run away and will give me a lot of room
I know this is a stpid question but ive seen a few high performance resonators on ebay say they give u 3 or something horsepower. i thought resonators were a empty tube... Just wonderin
i had a 18" magnaflow resinator on my car it fit fine
this thread is worthless without pics

you forgot a zero.....it actually adds 30HP
no they dont add horsepower.....ever. They have a baffling material in them similar to a glass pack.
They help quiet the exhaust note by taking the edge off it while posing no restriction to the flow, providing they are of a diameter inside that matches the system. The real trick is positioning it in the system where it will do it's job best (Like say, in the extention pipe area) and sizing it in terms of length so it works with the resonance frequency of the exhaust pulse.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
Not a Magnaflow, but a 22" resonator/glasspack nonetheless... it fits fine, with the cat in the stock location...

You'll be fine with the 4" deal.
Event was using three of them (magnaflow 4" thick ones) with his ride. One up under the bumper as a regular muffler.
At the time he was lowered on RKs, then Teins, and rolling on 17 Enkei's

J TO ENVY wrote:Thanks a lot for the pictures, however, I am not so much concerned with the length of the resonator, but rather the width of it. It's 4" and it seems really huge compared to the cat for example. I am just worried that it will hang down and I will be scraping it on stuff. Is there any way you can get a couple pictures of the car flat on the ground (it looks like it's on ramps)? I know the Thrush glasspack (shown in Kardain's pictures above) are 3.5" wide, as oppose to 4" on the Magnaflow. I'm wondering if that .5" will make a difference or not?

Ya i have the 22" Magnaflow on my car (sorry no pics cuz its @!#$ winter) but yea it will fit up there fine with little issue of hanging too low. The problem I had with mine was that because this resonator is so much heavier than the stock one, it tends to want to pull the exhaust system down. Peronsally I want mine to sit higher so I talked with the guy who installed my system and he told me that he could add an extra hanger at the end of the resonator to pull the whole thing up. So yea you shouldnt have any problems. My exhaust was on a 03 Cavy b4. Take a look at the pics from this thread.

^^^^^^^Guess I shouda mentioned that Caddilac used themin conjuction with mufflers (Which were placed upstream of the resonators) to get the desired effect, but pretty much the same effect will be had with them arranged the other way (resonator -> muffler).
