Just get a high flow cat.....taking off the cat is bad for the environment!

really? because impretty sure you would have only gained 10 hp max, at the crank from a intake and FULL exhaust (header, larger cat [all cats flow pretty much the same as per size, the high-flow thing is a marketng gimmick] and larger diameter pipe). removing the cat? no. keep my air clean, and just go with a larger sized cat. im running
this cat, without a check engine light and without the o2 sensor/spark plug anti-fouler mod.

i am getting a hi flow cat offf my friend and its 2.5" but no o2 bung any one know how to do a o2 simulator?
if it doesnt have a bung you need to have put in the piping behind the cat.
by the way its "lose" not "loose"......which is the #1 misspelled word on this site
okay great now I dont have to start a whole thread on this. Im in the market for a high flow cat now what do you think about this
high flow cat
and is it true for non boosted applications I should stay with 2.25'',,,,,what if I have a good port and polished head and header would it be okay to go with 2.5"
GMR has got nothing on this
youre giving up low end power, so you better be tuning for a higher powerband
it just sounds like you want to do 2.5" so you can use the cat your friend has.
First off. FILL OUT YOUR PROFILE. It was nothing more than a guess what engine you have. Until you said "u runnin a 2.4 too?"
Second the cat is not holding you back at all. You are be being slowed down from the extra weight of the dual exhaust.

done it ,pics will come soon, but anyways I like the dual pipes ,they sound nice and sets it apart from the honda's
Get rid of the cat and pm me when its off the car

UHHHH........he didnt mean fill out the parts about your LIFE....we want info about your car
Hey Grayo,
That cat looks alot like one I've seen that uses a metal substrate instead of a ceramic brick. It's said to have a 50% increase in flow over ceramic cats of the same size.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".

LMFAO I would hope you like to do your wife too...but yeah I meant about your car. IMO the duals look out of place with out a body kit and actually sound more like Honda to me than a single magnaflow muffler, but that is just my opinion so if you like it that is all that matters. There is no need to go ripping off your cat. I doubt it is holding you back since you are likely making about 140whp on a good day. I put down 214whp on a COMPLETELY stock exhaust. The muffler is the biggest restriction and you have eliminated that.
