Muffler Opinion

Hey Everyone, I'm replacing my catback with 2 1/4 and putting a new muffler on, since mine has a hole in it anyways. Are there any recommendations for ones that are a good quality performance and around the same loudness as stock? I have no mods currently, and I'm not planning any in the near future. Should I also get a resonator, or will just the muffler do since I have no mods?

Thanks for your help guys

If you have no other mdos, and dont plan on doing any in the future, I wouldnt replace u entire catback. It wouldnt make sense to keep the stock 2" cat and restrictive manifold with a better flowing cat-back. Just replace the muffler.

If u want a stock sounding exhaust, but more flow. Go dynomax. U can easily get a muffler for around $30. jUst add a nice tip (if u like) and ur good to go

^^ BTW u also will not need a res. Just use a muffler that is simular size to ur stock one. I went to a much smaller muffler so a res was needed... and its still loud.

A dynomax muffler can be picked up at any CAP, Autozone or advanced auto parts. Or just try the internet.

all aftermarket mufflers you will find will most likely be louder than your stock one. As previously mentioned, you don;t really need to change your piping unless you really want to pay for the extra cost.

Would going with the larger piping help my mileage and/or HP at all?
Or would I see no change? Since I developed the hole I've lost about 2 mpg as best I can tell
