hey guys im getting ready to do a rebuild for my 01z.....however i do have some questions, it sounds like a spun rod bearing and possibly a wrist problem. you can only hear it at about 3000 rpm. But what i want to do is bore it out do the cam swap bigger pistons and whatever else my funds let me do The only thing is where can I get these parts. Especially the pistons, rods, and everything else. What do you all recommend as much help as possible is needed.

If you've done your homework, sometimes you can find good stuff on Ebay.com and here on J-body in the classifieds.

It might be worth it to look up a performance rebuild kit. Sometimes you can actually save money instead of buying everything individual. Plus you can ensure all the components will work together properly.

Just do a google search. I think you can probably get a kit for $999 online. Not sure on your budget but it might be worth the money if you're going to be pulling the motor out anyways.
