So I always live by getting my car's undercarriage cleaned onces the roads are snow free and there looks like no other snow will come...... so on that day finally came..... took her over and got it cleaned... however the place mentioned that some rust came off but they didn't know where it came from...... so I was kind of shocked because the only rust on my car is on the exhaust.... driving it home I could tell audibly there was something wrong with the exhaust........ so got her home and took a look under... (vehicle is a 2.4L so has the duel exhaust).....right before the rear axel (on the drivers side) the exhaust bends up... right in that bend there's a weld that has rusted through (the top portion)..........
so what should i do??? should I get it welded and hope that fixes it??? or go with a new cat-back system?
a new catback would be best but a shop should be able to sand it down and re-weld for not too bad of a price. but it'll be a temporary fx.

well I can get a pretty good price on the duel magnaflow cat back...... so I might just do that
not sure how to embed it...

that sounds good man, why would you want to fix it??
if you get the magnaflow, make sure you get the oval mufflers. i have the straight through round mufflers and they sound like poop dejour.
The leak on my exhaust is in the first bend of the top piece in that picture
mine just rusted and did the same thing in the same spot lol...damn it.lol
it's weird... there's only 3 spots of rust on my exhaust... I did a further inspection today.... and that weld point seems to be the weak point
so after even further inspection....... the piping itself is 100% ok and solid....... it's the weld that has rusted away.... I'm hoping I can get a family friend to weld it up for cheap.... it would be a waist of 2 good mufflers if I went with a new setup
