Pacesetter header sound

Will a pacesetter header affect the sound of my exhaust at all? Just a random question i thought of while i was driving. I have the TTR mounts in the mail coming in this week and then im gonna buy the header. Just wanna know how much it will affect the sound. Thanks!

I would check youtube they have cars 2.2 ecotec motors with headers and cat backs.

yes it will probably make it a bit raspier and a tad louder...but what do I know? I don't have one.

I have the header and their cat-back, it sounds pretty much stock at idle, but when you give it gas there is a very noticable sound difference, not really raspy at all, nice throaty sound, and as you let off the gas and the rpm's come down it has that nice gurgly sound reminiscant of a muscle car I love it. Just make sure you get the armour coated one, I made the mistake of getting the black one and after the first 30 minutes all the paint had baked off in a very smelly cloud of smoke.
So now I am looking to get it powdercoated so it will hold up and not rust. Other than that great system, I would suggest to get the whole setup it only cost me like 400 or something, so now I am going to throw the magnaflow cat in too after I do my battery relocation on tuesday. Ive got some pictures of it installed and a few other things a few posts back in the "what did you do to your J today" thread in the 3rd gen forum. If you have questions, just pm me or put it here or w/e.

Well, most likely it's gonna sound raspy and loud. If you want your exhaust to sound like angry, pissed off bees then you'll be just fine with your header, cat and catback. If you want it to sound "decent" then get the biggest resonator that will fit and install that. I have a 30" resonator on my setup and it sounds pretty decent. Not at all loud until I get on it and even then it's not that loud.

With the exhaust you have, you will notice a change in the sound, but it won't be too much different, probably a slight rasp. The set up you have should handle it well.

As for which PS header, I always recommend the ceramic coated header (PS calls it Armor Coat). As for painted header(s) the paint that comes on them, irregardless of the manufacturer, is just regular black paint. It isn't a high temp paint. The only purpose is to keep it from rusting till the consumer gets it. Aside from getting ceramic coated, the best thing is to strip all the paint off and repaint it with VHT FlameProof Coatings. Follow the directions on the can, especially the curing process. Coming up on 4 years and still no rust. I did do some touchup on the header a few weeks ago, since I had it off. When cured, the black turns to a dark charcoal grey, but it looks clean, no rust.

Don't use the Duplicor High Temp Paint, I stripped my header the first time and painted it following their directions and it started peeling the first time they got hot.

Well, i already re-built my exhaust a couple months back; magna hi-flow cat, 25" thrush res, and a maganflow 5x8" street series muffler. I am going with the ceramic though, no doubt.
