My exhaust system, Need a part.

So,

I dropped off my car at the best shop in town on Friday. I have the Pacesetter Armor Coated header, 2.5 magnaflow cat-co, and I have a borla muffler.

I requested them to put said pieces on and ditch the factory piping and put 2.5" piping all the way through.

I picked up my car on Friday afternoon. Like a fool I just assumed that since they were the best (and most expensive) place in town that they did it right. I started it and i have to say i was happy with they way it sounded. It wasn't too loud and it was just right.

Popped the trunk to put some groceries in there and there sat my Magnaflow high performance cat-converter.

So i crawled under the car in the parking lot of walmart and got quite preturbed. They put the header on, used my downpipe, and bolted the muffler on... NOTHING ELSE WAS DONE. But I paid for what I requested.

So went back up there today... Approaced the desk and said "I think there was a miscommunication somewhere." As if they were expecting me she said "No there wasn't a miscommunication Neal said....."

The rest is kinda annoying but in short he said it wasn't possible to put 2.5" piping over the axel the space was to small.... I got the majority of my money back.

Now i know several people have 3" piping on these cars so and I had a J about 6 years ago and I had 2.5" piping on it and it was no problem.

So before I go someplace else there are two thing I want to do/know.

A. I want to get a resonator with 2.5" inlet/outlet <if anyone has a good place/cheap lace to get one of these let me know>

B. Is this pipe really that hard to get to fit? Should I buy it someplace else before I take it to get it redone? <any and all thoughts would be appreciated> I've never dealt with bending pipe so I don't know.

What i do know is they charged me $250 to put a header on and to bolt the muffler up... knew that couldn't have been right.

I just finished mine and its 2.5" turbo back. I lined it up myself, I'm lowered 3", I have a rear tie bar, and nothing hits. I also have a borla muffler (XR-1 series) mine sounds great. There should be no problem in doing what you want to do! Everything I did worked the 1st time!

go here:

call them on the phone. ask for Willy. tell him the make and model and what size you want.

I went with 2.5", and I had no problem with my exhaust installer.

Here is a video of my exhaust, I love it! It is 2.5" turbo back, no cat, no resonator, qtp electronic cutout, dna street series muffler, borla xr-1 muffler. What do you think. When its at idle, you can barly hear it!

If you cant find a resonator long enough look for a cherrybomb/glasspack muffler.. it does the trick. Thats what i and several other people have.. Just find out if the inside of it is louvled or not.. from what i know preferably not louvled is best for flowing
