megan racing

i just wanted to put a little fyi out there. i recently did a full exhaust rebuild on my 04 cavalier eco. ran 2 1/2'' piping out of a pacesetter header through a high flow cat by the same company and out throught a megan racing mr-s style dual-canister muffler. i have a friend who has a pipe bender. all-in-all it cost me a TOTAL of 360 bucks and this exhaust sounds mean. very throaty and extremely loud (without silencers). still has that annoying popping but its def a good investment if your looking to save on your exhaust work

i have a Megan cat-back on my 98 2.4 sunfire and it sounded great. its a single 2 1/2 exhaust with like a 5 inch can lol but i like it. added a decent amount of power too. noticable anyway. but when my cat broke off from the stock manifold and i replaced it with a cheap ebay header and did away with the cat and went 2 1/2 all the way back it sounded kinda ricy. i'm eventually gonna get a good header but that was just a cheap fix for the time being. so im thinkin about throwin a resonator in there where my cat was. i still kinda like the way it sounds cuz it still sounds beefed up but i just really dont like the ricy crackling sound. that was the whole point of me not buyin a honda lol i hate the way they sound. but Megan makes good stuff. too bad they dont make headers etc for our j's or at least i havent been able to find anything. but i do like my megan cat-back
