Ecotec IAC Stepper Motor Always On? or On When Moving?

Does the l61 use a always running iac motor, or is it on when moving?
I dont feel like pulling it out, cuz it's raining.

Guess I'll have to post when I pull mine out.
Pretty sure it's always moving though.
