so i put a cold air intake in that i bought from kragen, and there is a breather hose(left side of engine looking at it from front of car) and my friend told me i didnt really need to do anything with it, then another told me i should put a filter on it. Suggestions? thanks
it's the pcv valve.
u can put a breather filter on it, or use the hose to connect it to the intake, there are arguments for both sides.
i've personally had a filter on mine for awhile and still don't have an engine bay full of oil, then again i'm not boosted. so take ur pick.
either way do one or the other DO NOT just leave it open.
Lose the hose I say and slap on a breather filter that matches the color of your intake filter!!
