gauging interest in a meet in Yorkville, Illinois

I am gauging interest in a meet at Silver Springs State Park for some time in May. There is a great grilling area right by the entrance with a huge parking lot, a large shelter and bathrooms (no trips to the gas station). If enough people show interest in coming, I will reserve this section for us so it's guaranteed to us.

There are many opportunities for scenic pictures in and near the park. There are a few larger towns nearby that we could cruise to to go bowling or whatever. For those of you who wouldn't want to drive back home, there is a Super 8 Motel that is about 10 minutes from the park.

Again, this is just to see if anyone is interested in coming out to good ole Yorkville for a meet. Nothing is set in stone yet, but if enough people show interest, we will definitely set up an official meet and I will gladly handle all the planning and such.

On a side note, May 13th is out for me because my mom is graduating with her Master's Degree that day. Also, Kurt has Prom and will be too busy "getting some head... get... getting some head" to come to a silly little J-Body Meet . Any day after that is open. Let's hear some thoughts people.

hey wats up im all for it i just need time to save money after prom and @!#$ is over and hopefully i can do something

a great time to do something would be may 14 but it is a sunday but it would give me and my gf something to do for an after prom trip.

get a date set and ill ask it off work

Why don't we go ahead and plan a small get together for the 14th then? No one really seems to be showing any interest in it, so it would probably just be you, your girlfriend, me, Joe and Nick.

Im gonna try to get as much money as possible because MY LIFE is turning into and expensive hobby for me. in the next month I have, Prom, 1/3 of a year anniversary, and gas is going up, i lost my hours at work, struggling at the money to install my bodykit, and i want that damn motorcycle.

I have A C T's next week and im not even ready for it. OMG im gonna die

Don't worry about a meet. You have other stuff, like school, that's way more important. Do what you need to do and we'll meet up again eventually .

Keep in mind that I live very close to Montgomery which is where that motorcycle is .

I dont live in yorkville, but i work there, at the Macianos on 34 and 47.

I have work open to close possibly on the 14th, but Ill see what i can do to avoid it. Never been to a jbody meet before, and id like to see what some people think of what ive done to my car so far, which i need to update on this site, and get some pics of.

Yeah, keep me updated. If we don't have an official meet (which it looks like we won't), we can still get together at the park or whatever. There are two members on here who live in Yorkville. I'm always happy to meet another Sunfire owner . By the way, where do you live?

yes psp has wireless internet. It comes with the system. you can also link psp's together wirelessly in the same room.

LOL they prolly hear me swear and my video games!! anyway yeah a meet up would be cool. i gotta get another cav.. seeing your shiney 'fire wont help either. gotta go yard fishing when i get some green. a dead 00-02 would be ideal for what i wanna do.

the jeep is fun though and will be a great primary car for now..

ill keep up in this post, im game for almost any weekend besides the tool show.

Ha! That is crazy! Do you live upstairs or downstairs? My cousin lives upstairs in the front facing apartment. I'm surprised you've never seen my car over there as I have spent the night there many times and all .

Yes, you definitely need to get another Cav so you can once again be a J owner . Maybe in a couple weeks we can have a small get together at Silver Springs.

Are you referring to Bill Hahn as in Hahn Racecraft? Perhaps we should go over there sometime and shoot the $hit with them. Man, that meet was fun . Hope to see you soon. Take care.

Cool, how does the 20th or the 21st sound for a meet? It won't be huge, but there could end up being about ten people there.

You suck too Paul! Yep, I actually talked to people down there . I am now stalking people with even slightly modded Js too, that's how I got Joe to go to the Peoria meet .

So, how does a meet on the 20th or the 21st of May sound to everyone? Let me know which day would be better for everyone.

I live in apt 105 which is downstairs. I park the jeep in the garage so only head out front to take out the garbage lol. I work in elgin now which sucks the big one.. contract is up in a month though so thats good. </ cliff notes on my life>

im down for either day..

Yeah, I figured you must live downstairs. My cousin is the one with the yappy little Chihuahua that barks at everything.

So, it's looking like Sunday May 21 would be a good day for a small get together.

heya meancav01 might that be my yellow hunk of junk in your sig. think that was the meet where I kicked the ball and chain for a few hours and came out and chilled.

But sure if anyone wants to meet up in november im down will be the last time for anyone to see my car for a long time but I will have about 2k worth of new parts on it hehe and the next time you see if after that I will prob have about 7k in the engine . That is if I don't decided to sell it when I can afford a m3 .
