well since u read the tittle u already knw that since the summer is coming up i am wanting to start up an annual jbody gathering in the omaha metro area everybody bring thier jbodys out for a night of cruzin ad havin fun well plan regular events and try to go to mid america every other weeknd or so. weather u have a stock jbody or a totally tricked out 1 just bring it out for a night of fun. you never know u might even pick up a few pointers on how to make your car look better, faster, and may even see some of the parts you want on other cars. i am wanting to have the first meeting this coming friday the 19th. I am wanting to meet around 7:30 8:00 in the old market if nebody has any ideas of where we should meet please reply and i would also like everyone that is goiing to b there to tell me so we dnt have 2 people showing up for an annual event well i hope to see u there and thanks.
well... i will talk to my buddies that both drive z's and we should be there, but it would probly be around say like 9:30-10 when we get there. I'm not sure how to get to the old market though, cuz i'm from Lincoln.

I hate to rain on your parade but maybe the Old Market on a Friday night would not be so easy to do.
I am thinking a parking lot of a retail store somewhere near midtown might work better and also I have to be to work on Friday nights by 10pm.

I used to live in Omaha. I might be interested in stopping out some night just for the hell of it. Out of curiosity. Does everybody still "meet" on Abbott Drive on the weekends?

You know what would work even better... would be to have it on like that next friday night or the next saturday nite (5/26 or 5/27)
alright yeah well just do that then and see if we can spread the word alot better the 1st meeting will be on Friday may 26 and well meet at rosenblatt stadium around 915 930 and after we wait until bout 10 or so well go cruise around and maybe go to the races well actually prolly not cause they get over with at midnight so if anybody wants to meet up earlier then just post a reply
Does anyone ever go out to Scribbner? I've thought of making the trip out there but none of my friends ever want to drive that far when there's a track not that far from Des Moines.

So no one at bellvue east has a swapped honda..
And let me guess, the 03 GT was driven by a teen at mam?
03 GT's are easily 13 second cars, any GT with a decent driver should've annihalated you because i'm guessing your cavalier probably runs 16's on those wheels..

actually i ran a 9.89 and he ran like a 9.5 or 9.6 and its only an eight mile but he didnt take any tire pressure out and i was running on 22lbs. of air and 1 of my riends does have a swapped b18 in his integra but it ran mid 11's
I was thinking if you all want to get a meet going maybe we could have a J-body cruise in night at the Council Bluffs drive in.
8 bucks a person you can watch two movies and sit around and bs in your cars.
What do you think?

hell yeah man we can do that but yeah everybody that has actually looked at this forum our first "meet" is going to b this fri night around 9 915 and well cruize over to the drive in but i knw the drive in dnt start until the sun goes dwn so we should b fine n if u knw anybody that does own a cavvy tell em to come out n chill for a night it will hopefully b some fun later

Yea, slower cars always do better than cars with horsepower because the traction there is like trying to race on a gravel road.
