i dont know what j-body's site laws are on racing but the town in the thread topic is in serious need of sum guys who know how to. ive been running Scalp ave (what us locals call scalpin) for about 3 years now. noone thinks that theres a race scene here but dont belive the lies. there is. every friday, and this is no lie, its like the first race scene in the fast and the furious. im talkin between 50 and 100 cars all on the same stretch of road. i know im new at this whole forum thing but if anyone is ever near this area, bring your toys up ad "run what ya brung"

yeah they dont really race at those meets in the burgh. usually the cops come once someone does a burnout.....it has happened, but not much.

I dont really hang much with that crowd anymore, but i will pop my head down at the strip, or between the stadiums from time to time. Never raced anyone down there though.

Thats why there's pittsburgh raceway park.

I'm originally from Johnstown.... and used to go to scalp every so often with some friends before I moved to FL. Unless some huge explosion of people started showing up... never was much of a car scene aside from the wannabe's with the fart cannons & wings. When I had the n2o on the cavfire at the time a guy in a neon who was "seriously modified" attempted to race me... and yet on a freezing day with hardly anything in the bottle... I handed his butt to him quite quickly... but just up to like 50 and enough lengths to embarrass him. Dont do that anymore and was one of the maybe 2 times i've ever street raced. I prefer the track, there u can actually show a person how bad they suck with numbers instead of some guy going "Aw man u beat em' by this much!"

Maybe one day soon I'll actually decide to drive up instead of fly up to check out this so called racing scene...

Remember the last time I was there before I swapped fronts back I nearly caused some guy to wreck his suv cause he was flabbergassed at seeing a cavalier with a sunfire frontend conversion... good times.
