I have a 97 Grand AM GT on the horizon, AND I read threw the entire IRS thread maybe 3 times over.. BUT it is filled with so much crap on the first few pages.. Images are not loading on Lenko's posts anymore ect

. SO I have a couple questions to ask about it all and get answered here.
Front Brake ?
Can I use the Steering Knuckle, Hub and Bearing Assembly + ABS plug bracket/holder.Axle (Half-Shafts), < the CV Joint Axle specifically. washers/nuts from this 97 ? OR is everything just completely different on the pre 99's ?
Also, for the IRS swap, can the 97 GT parts be used ? is the N-Body platform nearly identical between 1995-1998 generation and the 99 + Generation vehicles ? OR am I completely @!#$ out of luck with this whole vehicle ? (Nothing would be of use) ??

I don't know about the pre-99 N-body cars... sorry. I'll put the pics on my server, and post a link...
Seems the pre 99's have the solid rear beam, but do have disc brakes on the GT versions*.. Intresting lead.

no they do not have rear discs, the under side of a pre 99 grand am is very much like a 2nd gen, coil springs and shocks in the rear, drum brakes, and the front and rear brakes are very similar, same calipers, pads, rotors, drums and shoes to a 92-02 cav/bird/fire
