sportlines with tokico

Hey people, I am thinking about switching my koni yellows to the tokico d-spec struts. I am just not happy with the koni's anymore to tell you the truth. I was just wondering if they will work, like will the spring sit in the seat alright and everything. I have heard that the d-specs are direct replacements, like no drilling or anything to get them to work. Also, the max warrenty on the d-spec says 1.5 inches lowering, and the sportlines are lower then that. Any problems with that?

I ran that setup on my 97 Z Coupe. Great setup! The ONLY problem that I ran into was one of my front strut mounts went bad on me!

How did you know that your front strut mount went bad? Some type of noise? I will soon be running the koni yellow/sprint springs setup and i wasnt sure whether i should sellthe koni and buy D-Specs or not.

I'll be trying Sportlines and D-specs later this Spring. I've also noticed that some sources (like Gravana's product page) are now saying the D-Spec warranty will only cover 1.5" of lowering. I'm sort of wondering if anyone has confirmed this, since the long-standing opinion has been that these were in the same category as the Konis for lowering ability. I'd hate to see them reduced to "like AGXs, but more expensive".

From the looks of the first couple of sentences on the Koni warranty form, the warranty only applies to the original purchaser.

I don't think you'll notice a difference between the D-Specs and the Konis... just send the konis in and get a replacement if they're bad - it's free so why not?
