Alignment after tranny swap?
Saturday, May 23, 2009 7:07 PM
I recently replaced my transmission and I only unbolted the bottom 2 bolts on each strut so I could get the axles out... but I left the tie rods and everything else bolted up.

I wouldnt think it would be out of alignment since I didnt replace the struts and never touched the tie rods or lower A arm or hub.

I thought I would ask though.... I worked on my car in my dads garage and he keeps telling me I should. Although Im pretty sure im right this time LOL

The car drives fine.... although i'll keep an eye on the tires for awhile either way.

thanks.

I'd have it aligned. An alignment is a small expense to know that everything is correct, and it's cheaper than replacing the front tires if/when you do notice uneven wearing.
