hey just gotta quick question. if your running your amps at 1 ohm what ohm should your subs be ? the whole ohms idea confus's me. im looking at getting orion h2's or jl 13.5w7s. as of now from my old system i sold all my subs and stuff except my rockford amp which is a t500.2 power. i want to run it at 1 ohm at 1 ohm it push's 1119 watts rms at 2 ohms it does 746 watts rms. should i keep this amp or just sell it and go with a new one ? or just keep this one and get another one? Its sorta up in the air right now so i wanted to get some input thank.

The way you wire the subs up determines the resistance the amp will see. The power of the amp is rated by telling you what power the amp will send out at a particular resistance rating.

Touch your middle fingers to your thumbs....... OHM........
Seriously. If you wire two 2 ohm subwoofers in series, it will look like a 4 ohm load at the amp. If you wire two 2 ohm subwoofers in parallel, it will look like a 1 ohm load at the amp.
To make more sense of this, go to
the12volt, where you can read all about ohms and loads, and other neato stuff...
