No, I'm pretty sure he knows the right question. A DC to AC converter WILL do the trick. Question is, what do you want to run. If just an x-box, then yes, the cig lighter size will work. But if you want a blender or a hair drier, then you're looking at a fairly expensive unit. The more watts you require, the more expensive the unit. Good luck.

yup.. and i would suggest mouting the inverter under the sear or something and hookinh it up to a switch instead of a lighter cause when i had mine to the lighter it KEPT coming out and moved around and kept sutting down my ps.

I have an 800 watt one painted to match my amp, it is hooked up to the battery. Mounted on the large part of the fold down rear seat. I am planning on running a power line and installing a couple of outlets on the passenger side of the center console. It will run my laptop, cordless drill battery charger, cell phone charger, and still have power left over. I also have a 2000 watt in my truck that one will run pretty much anything. My friend tried to run his welder off his, it sparked, and then shut the invertor down.
Power invertors are kind of expensive unless they are a perk from work. I think they pay about 200 for the 2000 watt ones. whichever power invertor you buy i would recomend one that hooks directly to the battery. they should also have a list of devices that it will power on the box. figure out exactly what you want to run off of it and find the invertor that will power all of it with some power to spare. you dont want the safety shut off kickin in every five minutes because the power draw shot up 10 watts.

hope that was some help
