Ok, where is the easiest place to tap for illumination for gauges? I was recently tapping behind the turn signal handle on one of those wires but theres got to be an easier place.

Try off your dimmer switch, I *think* it's the yellow wire.

Illumination does this - when you adjust your dimmer switch, it'll get brighter and darker with it.

Then what i was meaning to say is, im hooking up my gauges and i need to find a wire with easy access to hook up the power for the bulbs in the gauges so when i turn on my headlights, the gauges light up also.

why not tape into the headlight switch, and then run that tap to a distribution block where theres easier access. or just find a good + wire and use the DRL off the BCM so when the car is on so are the gauge lights

Have a test light? I have my Autometer lighting tied into one of the factory cluster wires, worked great for a year now.
