ok, i found a hyundai 6 disc changer in a wrecked i think it was a sonata? anyways... i didnt get the cord, and i was wondering if its even posbile to make shift something to work (maybe buy the plug that goes into it) and wire it to work on some sort of an aftermarket cd player?
or am i waisting my time and need to throw it away

Throw it away. They're proprietary to the specific head unit, and it won't work.
