Note: These where here before and after they fixed my blinker problem...i told them to fix the wiring cause I thought it was this huge gob of wires under my dash..and all they did was zip tie it up and out of the way.
hard to tell with that pic quality but my guess would be some sort of aftermarket security system
ah true could be, i have manual windows and locks too, if that has to do with anything, cause im sure security systems are tied into those.
Anybody know? I had one of my friends look at it and he's not sure either..im going to unwrap all the electrical tape off of it later today. It appears that it is spliced into the blue or green or both wires that run horizontal under your dash.
What are the blue and green wires to?
That's an aftermarket alarm or remote start alright...look at the harness. If you are good with wiring AND ONLY IF YOU ARE GOOD WITH WIRING, disconnect the battery. follow each factory wire one by one and eliminate anything aftermarket attached to it. Then reconnect the factory wires. Go to the junkyard and take high quality pictures of what the wiring should have looked like in the first place before you begin. I won't promise anything because I don't know if there is anything else wired wrong in your car. But I would be willing to bet this fixes most of it.

If it can't drag, it ain't low enough!
Its running fine, its not affecting anything its just a nucience with all that crap tucked up under there. It also has a relay and some fuses in the bundle of wires. When I got the car it also came with 2 key fobs, but since my car has manual windows, and i suppose that means manual locks too, I figured they were pointless.
What can I buy to hook up to this..I kind of hate having all that wire there serving no purpose.
those green and blue wires that are under there id put money on them being to a set of door actuators.
n8 is probably right. and unless it says the brand somewhere on the harness, you're pretty well screwed on matching it up to a brain....just get rid of it all wire by wire. Then take ur door panels off and see if they did install actuators for power locks, if they did, you can buy a keyless entry brain with two remotes for about $50. That's what I did for the two solenoids I have laying around...now I'm ready to go fully shaved and suicided on my Cavy doors.

If it can't drag, it ain't low enough!
That may be it! because these two wires are running under both the driver and passenger side and they go back behind things.
Let me do some digging around and ill get back to you guys.
Turns out that these two blue and green wires deffinitley go into the doors. I have the key fobs and the Model number is AVX01BT3CL3.
So im going to find out what module I need to buy to get this to work.
i would buy a whole new one and have it installed. the actuators in the doors is the hardest part. you probably already have the relay and everything for it. AVX means its a prestige made by audiovox though hope that helps. do you have a siren under hood or a hood pin? can you see where one was mounted. it could be just a remote start or keyless entry.
