Ok i went into the local tuner shop to get a price on the hks ssqv bov....which is all fine and dandy..but...
Now he got into talking about a recirculated bov and how they are suposed to acually keep the charge pipes charged so you dont have that initial lag as bad and its suposed to make the car feel alot more snappy and have quicker response...
So is this true..is it better to go with them? or is there no real benifit?
depends on the setup and how you are going to get the air back into the charge pipes. i like it becuase it lesseneds the blow off valve noise.
well im not worried about noise..sure it sounds cool...and i want that sound but if i can gain performance then ill go that way...if its negligable then ill go with the normal setup....from what ive been told youd run it close to the outlet and make a u bend back into the charge pipe..atleast thats how it was explained to me..
recirulating is mainly used on cars with a MAF. The air has been metered and the comp expects it to still be there. The air is rerouted from the charge pipe to some place just before the turbo. If the pressure remained in the charge pipe then there would be no point in having a BOV to begin with.
yah..maybe thats what the guy was talking about...he was saying alot of the tuner cars they do( skylines ect) run like crap without a recirculated bov. Maf is making sence then tho....atmospheric it is..
Ive thougt about rerouting mine on my setup so its stealthy

Im all about nobody knowing.
