I am just going to warn you, you may get flamed for multiple things.Let me try to help you....
1.) Search, Search, Search, Read, Read Read, and then Search and Read some more... There is a million similar threads....
2.) Assuming your talking both a Supercharger and a Turbocharger at the same time... Again search... many have tried, few have succeeded, many have asked and have gotten laughted at
3.) There is a lot involved in everything your asking what is your mechanical competence level? Not trying to be a dick but your going to probably get asked...
4.) Both a supercharger and a turbocharger create"boost" - The name alone of the thread is asking for severalpeople to flame you.
If you want my honest opinion.. Build the 2.4, turbocharge it and enjoy it!

Pretty much sums it up......

Shouldn't that read "SWAP IN AN ECO and turbocharge it"

Didnt mean the both of them turbo or supercharger is what i was talking about , im new to the site and im just trying to ask around before i start spending money
turbo the 2.4. it is a lot easier: both time and money.

Let me correct you, he can run a hybrid eco on the 2.4 harness w/ 2.2 coils and have a turbo kit and still spend less then building the 2.4 and turboing it, and still be able to handle mid 300 whp, and have a better, longer lasting motor. (Le5)

let me correct you. he stated he wants to turbo the 2.4 or perform a 3.4/3.8 swap. doesnt mention anything about an eco swap. as much as i love the eco engines i dont see the value of swapping the 2.4 out for an eco engine. low boost and a better oil pump the 2.4 is more than capable just like the eco. if hes going to swap an engine then why wouldnt he just stick to his original plan of a 3.4/3.8 swap?
since we're correcting people, i'm sure Phil was mentioning the LE5 since it's also a 2.4... aka being funny while still saying to go eco
also, the eco would be a drop in vs. the fab work to drop in the 3.4/3.8
either way, do some searching. there's alot of good info on this site, but most will tell you to search as they get tired of posting the same advice over and over.

you really don't know much about these cars
2.4 is junk should have left in in world war II.
as for a 3400 and 3800 swap. 3400s get you a 14.9 if your good i have seen some almost stock ecos hit 15.3 as for a 3800 its stupid you can turbo an ecotec and run almost the same times if not a little better because the 3800 has so much torque you spin the tires and you have to feather the throttle so you don't get to use the full amount anyways
saab turbo Ecotec swap gather all your parts and do it over the weekend.

ok but dont you want a supercharger because there is no lag? in the turbo theres lag and boost build up, in the supercharger it is constant and instant boost to the motor. also you can change the pulleys on a supercharger to create what ever boost you want.

In todays world if you set things up correct lag is not a issue. Easier to increase boost pressure ona turbo setup.
Comes down too goals.

instead of boost or a supercharger, how bout you get a clue first.
