i have a 1998 cavalier 2.2l with a 5 speed tranny .... will a 96 2.2l 5 speed fit and have every thing the same ? is it the same drive axel?
ran into drive axel problem with 95 ...

... some 96's also had jack shafts, but all 95-99 2.2 5 speed trannys are the same. don't know how\why you had a problem with the 95 trans...
But as Shifted said, it will work.
