I was thinkin about maybe trading my cav on a IS300 in the spring time. Just wondering what everyones thoughts were on this.

nice cars. reliable, kinda quick with a manual tranny. They arent quite at the level of something like a new G35 is but they are still very nice cars. There was some guy around me who had an IS with a TT set up (AKA supra). He dynoed it put down 590 at the wheels. Not shabby for a daily driver.

Insurance is super high on IS300's and the interior has a toyota feel to it. (not lexus)
But I love the body style and the I-6 engine has decent power.
the audio set up needs work, and the hood isnt cutting it imo... other than that i love that whole car!!! especialy the color
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn
lexus is300 = hard on... personally i like it in yellow.. it wears it well
I'd go with a G35 ahead of the IS300, mainly because of the potential of the VQ35DE. The IS300's engine is a fine piece of work, no question, but it's not had the same impact as the VQ... in addition, people pulling the engine out of a chassis to swap in a different (and older) engine to make more power.
It's a great car as well, but if I had the money to spend on either/or, I'd go G35/350Z... hell, if you need a sedan G35 has more base power than the IS300 if my memory serves me.

And now for something completely different... Click the Minister.
I love the IS300's I think they are so sexy. They had a used Blue one at a dealer when I was looking at new cars. Looks soooo good with the tinted windows. It was kinda high mileage and had bad curb rash on the rims though and they wanted 25k for it. Too pricey for me. If I had the money though I'd love to have one. I think they are sweet.
I love the G35 also. Its a sweet car, but I dont like the sedan. There are lots of good and bad to both IMO. I've seen lots of IS300's with body kits and with a simple kit they look so awesome. If you can afford it I say go with it.
it's the only car that truly deserves to have "altezza" taillights, IMHO.
i love IS300s.

he wasnt a korean guy was he? We use to know a guy name brian who had a blue is300 that has the tt supra motor in it and that thing was crazy. he moved somewhere and never heard of it every again
i looked at them to then i talked to a few people who had them around my town and they said there nice cars but slow and they break alot. they said they do look hot as hell but other then that there nothing great. so i dont know i never drove one but they do look nice.
I use to be a fan ... meh.
IS250 / 350 FTW.
Toyota Altezza FTW. It's the naturally aspirated Supra sedan! The IS300 is the only version the US got. I would love to have one, but like mentioned above, insurance is up there, and I've heard nightmares of dealership repairs/prices, somewhere along the lines of "bend over and lube up"...

there's nothing exciting about the is250/350... especially when you consider
the money you're forking out for something so bland (not good or bad... just
bland).
46,000cdn for a 204hp IS250 rwd with the Sport Package? sheesh, why not
just spend an extra 4k, and buy anything SRT-8 (300c/ charger/ magnum or
even Grand Cherokee)
Lexus > Chysler
Same concept with a Porsche Boxtser ... why on earth when anybody buy one when they can buy an LSx or other, cheaper, better performing car?
You buy into the luxury family ... and you almost always start from the bottem up. (NOTE: I do not consider 3-series Bimmers luxury by any means).
maybe i'll just hold off for a turbo cobalt then.

I always loved those cars. Look different and stylish. And in the few times I drove one I loved it. Especially the super comfortable suade and leather seats. Plus they should be super relaible. But they are alot of money

i love IS300s.
Seeing as "Altezza" is the name of the japanese IS300, it would only be so fitting.
