Trailblazer/Envoy vs. Jeep GC vs. Explorer

When I get back from Iraq I need a tow vehicle for the Cobra, and those are the three vehicles I'm leans towards. Max I want to spend is around 12K or so. Must be 4wd/AWD. What's your pick out of these three?

Thanks!

O noes!

Envoy or TB with the V8.

I love my TB with the 5.3 V8 with the active fuel on demand.

Jeep, but I might be a little bias! Seriously though, you cant go wrong with a jeep!

GC... I had the chance to drive one for a few days, and it was definitely nicer than any GM SUV I've been in (not just power, but important stuff like interior design and finish and ride comfort). I won't acknowledge any Fords other than the Mustang and SVT models.

Is this gonna be a tow vehicle to tow it to the track......

or to tow it off the side of the road!?!?

Seriously though....why not get a truck?

I'd go for the Grand Cherokee. I just like the way they look, and their offroad capability.

Well, I was leaning away from a truck because of higher cost to purchase, but I might be back in that area. Maybe a Powerstroke

haha agreed. I have 12k to spare... maybe I should buy a new M5 and a
pony and a choochoo train, and some he-man action figures, and some

anyways, back to reality. I believe you can tow 5000lbs with the 4.0L,
6500lbs with the 4.7L V8. I just bought my step-dad a 2000 4.0L grand
Cherokee Laredo 52k miles (84kms), and It cost me 12,800cdn (taxes
included) I'm sure you can get one for less in the States (they cost
more in Canada). This is my 3rd Jeep purchase, and it's definitely my
favorite. I'm really impressed with the ride: it drives smooth and quiet,
it handles like a smaller truck, it's easy to backup in parking spaces,
and parts are affordable. You can't beat the value of used American
cars (you can really use their lower resale value to your advantage --
try doing the same with a used CR-V or Pilot).
