Hey everyone, I have a problem that I know one of you guys have delt with before. I am buying an SS hood from someone on the org who lives about 4 hours away. I don't think the blazer is big enough to put the hood in the back. I thought about installing it there. He told me I could ditch my stock hood at his place but I really want to keep it. What should I do?

i agree with the hoodless driving. that's what i would do. a girl on here drove from ny to md without a hood to get the turbosport and i don't think she got bothered by the cops

Myself and a few others have drove 2+ hours with no hoods, and no trouble. DO IT! It's the easiest solution, and the looks you'll get are priceless.
a guy around here did the same thing, drove around for like a month with no problems
If driving without a hood is ilegal what about T buckets and other old hot rods without hoods?
cops wont bother you. I drove without a hood for like a month since I had wrecked mine. never had a problems and alot of cops saw me.
or find a friend with a truck.

it should fit in the back of a full size blazer , i put the ss hood into the back of a half ton short bed truck with a shell
you might have to pull the rear seat out and slide it sideways into the back
or drive up there no hood , but have the guy write you something saying that you are buying a hood from him , that way if you get pulled over for it , you have something to show your getting a new hood
also let the cop know your old hood was damaged , and the 1 your getting was the least expensive 1 you could find , and your wanting to save on the frieght shipping costs
the ss hood will fit in the blazer. my dad had a blazer and i took it to pick up an ss hood. just barely fit.
I drove hoodless to RKSport to pick up the hood for the 99. I passed 2 cops while running a yellow/red light and wasn't pulled over.
Thanks for all of your responses. I'm probably going to use the blazer, don't want to because of the mileage, but oh well. Maybe I'll just grow a pair and take the cavy.

i drove a uhaul with my kit, hood and fenders in it to drop off my car in york...then drove home with the stock parts
I drove 8 hours to Wisconsin without a hood...
