looks like they may have gotten the idea from this METALLIC SHAVING/PARTICLE RETAINER. This actually looks legit and kinda makes more sense.

Yeah it was a review on 5 mileage improvers....they concluded that this one doesnt even make sense since gasoline isnt magnetized...

Re: Magnetic Gas Extender for Cavalier

not to mention... what happens when the magnets... excuse me 5 magnets, give out? or you take it off? its stored up all the shavings.... if any and gives them to your engine all at once? great idea

look at the guys feedback, people buy the crap and still think it works... I was talking to a guy on base, he got the "tornado" and says he "did tests" and it works better than advertised, I told to tell him how wrong he was but some people just can't be reasoned with

Fuel is not ionic. It is unaffected by magnets. (if the field would even go through the metal line... which it won't).

100% GARBAGE

oh yes it works. just like those square wheels that you can get that will give you 100X better milage.

only good i see from this is if you had somebody with metal shavings/magnetic ish in you fuel system. but if you have that problem i think more than a magnet is needed

Re: Magnetic Gas Extender for Cavalier

Well a magnet around the fuel filter is not a bad idea. I do it, and when i take apart my old filter after replacement with a new one, there are small Like metal shavings in it. Turns out, many fuel tankers and gas stations dont clean the Points where the tanker meets the fuel filler. So yah, some stuff does get cuaght but doesnt change anything else.

Im gunna have to call

Everybody knows that all gas stations and tanker drivers do everything needed to provide us perfect fuel.

Yeah, the diagram doesn't make any sense. However, the fuel doesn't have to be ionic to feel an affect from the magnet. Fuel, or anything for that matter, can be ionized or fragmented with enough energy. The magnetic field would have to be intensely strong before the molecules in gas would ionize. Even then, why the hell would you want to ionize the gas??? Ionized molcules wouldn't magically arrange themselves in order, if anything it would probably cause them to be more reactive with other compenents in your fuel system. Stuff like this is just ridiculous.

The same survey gave the Tornado the thumbs down as well....you want smooth flowing air into the engine, not a cyclonic mess

Perfect fuel? Not likely, they want to you fill up at every possible time.

there is a thing that military hummers use in their air system that is kind of like the turbonator but it actually spins (from what my dad says anyway)

^^^if his hummer is different from my scout hummer i drove when i was in the army, then i suppose it is possible. but i had never seen nor heard anything like that in my hummer.
also, this was like 6 years ago. maybe some things have changed since then.
