I was wonderin if anyone has painted that black plastic spark plug cover over the middle of the valve cover..if so what kind of paint did u use..I thought about using krylon fusion for plastic but not sure if that will withstand the heat..any help would be great..thanks
or better yet...does anyone know who makes that whole piece in carbon fiber???

i used the touch up paint in the spray can
just prep it and it should last
its been done for 4 years now , and still looks good

I just used regular spray paint thats the GM touch up color for my car. Prime and paint and clear if you like. Its been there for going on 3 years with no problems.

Well i took the piece off and prepped it REAL good. and it def started fisheyein BAAAD everywhere..so i took paint thinner to it as well as ammonia as well as hot soap and water and it still fisheyed..I hate that soo bad..so i just took all the paint off of it and put it back on my motor...
Not newb its in my pictures folder here so I don't know why it wouldn't link.
Any way as for the fisheyes 2 things come to mind. First and very important what temperature is it where your doing the painting? If its cold no amount of prep work will
save it. It needs to be above 60 and with low humidity for the paint to adhear correctly.
Second soap and water are not enough. Get a product called TOTAL PREP. Its in an spray can and all you do is spray it on and let it sit then wipe it off with a CLEAN paper towel. Then prime and paint. Don't forget the prime part! Its important too.
