Ok i have an 00 Z24..i would like to find the front and rear lip that came on the 00-02 ls sport...my question is..once i can find them, a job in itself, how hard will it be to mount them on my car?

only the '02 Z24/LS Sport had the lips, then the body style was changed in '03.

the front is not that hard. took me about an hour and a half to do the front bumper and the fender liners.

I'm not sure about the rear though.

important! if you are trying add on the Z24/LS Sport front and rear lips to your base model Cav, you don't have the slots for the tabs on the lips to go through. you either have to cut them out, buy Z24/LS Sport bumpers, buy the whole setup complete, or do some fancy bodywork and mold them in.

from what I gather, the only Z24 to get the lips and side skirts was the '02. this is also the last year of the Z24 and the first year of the Ecotec LS Sport. in 03, the Cav got a makeover. the "lips" were molded into the bumper, so if you want 03+ lips, you need the whole bumper.

one last thing. when I had to replace my front lip due to it being ripped off by a chunk of carpet on the freeway, I found out that the fender liners on the 02 are different between the base model, and Z24/LS Sport.

'02 Z24 and LS Sport:

12335536 front bumper lip.
12335571 rear bumper lip (driver's side).
12335572 rear bumper lip (passenger's side).
12463297 side ground effect (driver side).
12463298 side ground effect (passenger side).
22605364 fender liner (driver side).
22605365 fender liner (passenger side).
22688427 retaining clip (for the tabs on the Z lips, I think there's about 25 or more of these total.).

'03+ LS Sport:
12335630 rear bumper cover
22699446 front bumper cover (I'm unsure of this, came from gmpartsdirect.com)

misc:
15958694 retainers (the rivet style with the push-in center piece, also works with the JDM trunk lid carpet)

22575604 02- Right side filler panel (under the taillight, for 03+ to 02- conversions).
22575605 02- Left side filler panel (under the taillight, for 03+ to 02- conversions).

the only thing I could not find are the 03+ LS Sport side skirts and mounting hardware, even on gmpartsdirect.com. if someone wants to post those up, that would be great.

what about for the 4 door sides?

yes. the '02 front lips screw into the fender liners.

well... you don't HAVE to buy them, but there won't be anything to anchor the ends of the lips when they wrap around to the front of the fenders. they're relatively cheap anyway.

the four door sides I'm not sure. I don't know if there were '02 four door Z24's or LS Sports. It might be possible that the 2 door skirts will fit 4 doors. I'm not sure about that though. However, I'm pretty sure there were '03+ 4 door LS Sports. You could try to find those.

ok..makes sense, i priced the lips on gmpartsdirect. and it was 240 for both..since i know a couple people that work on a gm dealership and get discounts so hopefully i can get a price break

Yes, in '02 they had 4 door Z24's and LS Sport Sedans....... my woman had one I dont have a part number for the sides though.

Moulding caps. I'm not sure what these are, or where they go.
these part numbers were taken off of GMPartsDirect.com, so I'm not sure if they match up to an official GM part number, but I'm guessing they do.

hey thanks for the help. i was thinking bout going w/a body kit but i think i'll get a cleaner look w/ the lip kit instead.

for the body shop, not hard at all. the 00-01 bumpers, and the 02 base bumpers don't have the slots for the lips. so it's either cut the slots, or buy the Z bumper AND the lips.

correct. you should be able to run your fingers along the bottom edge of the bumper and feel them. if my roommate hasn't thrown out my old bumper yet (got a huge hole knocked in it), I'll take a picture for you so you can see.
