Turn signal shavings...
Sunday, April 29, 2007 2:16 PM
For whatever reason my driver's side front light bulb's paint came off (OEM part....) and there's shavings in the housing for it. The bulb still worked fine but I replaced it today. There's so much junk in the way and the hole is so small, I don't see how I can get the shavings out. Does anyone have any ideas? I was thinking about a vacuum cleaner but after replacing it today I saw there's no way I could get an attachment in there or close enough to clean it up.

Was on the way to get some bulbs and my stupid rear view mirror fell off... again. Oh well. At least I only had to make one trip to Advanced Auto Parts.

Yep. Make sure you drain the water as best you can then let it sit for as long as possible to let the rest of the water evaporate to prevent fogging in the future.

OK thanks guys. Are those stupid plastic clips a use once only type of thing? It's been so long since I took it off I can't remember if I used the same plastic nail/clip or not.

Are you talking about the black plastic ones that have the little inner "rivet" type thing that you pull out and then the whole fastener comes out? you an reuse them as long as they aren't all bent up. Anyway, they are cheap at the dealer, I got 6 for just a few bucks a few years back when I hosed mine putting in my clear corners.
