03 sunfire headlights

My headlights burnt out the other day and i need replacement bulbs but i can't find any aftermarket bulbs in H11's. Is there any other bulb size that would fit my car? I wanted a set of silverstars but i guess theye don't make H11. Ive been getting my lights from ebay for cheap but they don't last and they suck in the rain. Don't have the money for HID kit right now. I read on here that we can swap our H9 high beam bulbs into the H11 socket. Is this true? What kind on mod do you have to do? I would check my self but ist cold and snowy out and i don't have a garage. Any help would be awesome need lights before i get a ticket.

Haven't found replacement lowbeams? (H11) You haven't looked hard enough I guess. What about PIAA Xtreme Whites or Silverstars? Those are the most common lowbeam replacements on the market that almost everyone without HIDS turn to. Now, if you want to put highbeams (H9) in there, then go ahead. Its up to you.

In case you still want lowbeams. As long as lowbeams

H11 Bulbs

Will a bulb with a rating of 100w melt the wire harness or the plastic of the headlight. I can find lots of H11 and H9 bulbs but they are rated more than the stock bulbs.

more than likely 100w bulbs will melt the harness. You need 55w which is the stock wattage. The site I provided had plenty of 55w bulb replacements. If you want, stop by your closest Autozone or Walmart and pick up a set of Sylvania Silverstar. Cost about $20 or so a set.

I checked all over the past for the silverstars and can't find the h11 or 9 but i ordered a set og luminics h11 with a 55w draw and 130w output. should be good enough.

Interesting to hear about the Silverstars, didn't know they were so hard to come by now. Haven't really needed new bulbs since I upgraded to my PIAAs.
You should be good tho. Couple people have the luminics bulbs and are quite happy with them. Which ones did you pick up?
