i just did the drl disable. and i messed something up. i cut and grounded the dark blue wire in the middle plug. and when i turn the ignition on, the lights flash rapidly for a couple seconds then turn off but the service light pops on. it DOES disable the daytimes, but it flashes at start up and has the service light on at all times.
i was under the impression that i had to pull the BCM out of the white bracket it was held into and i guess i didn't. an ways the small black wire coming out of the bcm was cut or broken from where it was supposed to be fastened. now where does that wire go so i can fix it and get my service light to go off. that is what i am guessing is the problem. i went back through the sticky to make sure i did everything exactly and i did. but i broke the black wire, so thats what i am guessing is the problem
any help is welcome THANKS
fix the black wire. Also did you ground the right side of the wire? Cause when they flash like that and the service light comes on thats the same result you get from just pulling the relay.
If the lights are flashing and then go off you didn't do it right.
do i ground the wire coming out of the connector? or the part of the wire coming from the lights. also where the heck does the black wire go? lol. its just one tiny black wire. coming out of the back
You ground the wire that's coming out of the connector. And the tiny black wire is probably your keyless entry antenna.

lol. you are prolly correct. i checked my sisters 02 sunfire with manual locks and it didnt have the wire coming out of the BCM.
