What do I need to do to them, other than primer, and paint before they are ready to be installed?
Test the install, make sure that they align correctly before the real install. Also, are they aftermarket, or OEM?
And, who is doing the work? You, some friends, or a shop?

They are after market. I'm going to install them, if I have the tools. If I don't then a bodyshop will do it.
If you haven't done it before. Then I would let the shop install it that way that can align it right. A lot of after market parts need more adjusting then OEM parts. Some also need additional body work done to them to make them fit.

not to mention. i wouldnt get JUST your fenders painted they will NEVER match. i would have the shop also blend the paint in to the doors to have it done properly.
not to mention, wet sanding, buffing, blah blah blah

depends on the color, how old the paint is and how well its taken care of.
I'm getting the entire car repainted. The bumper, doors, and fendors are all being replaced.
fiberglass fenders are pain in the muffler to get super straight, i put glass fenders on my one Escort and after a bout a weeks worth of work they still werent completly straight.
