I have tried it several times in the past, and several times more recently. I left my full name and email address, but no one ever responds. I'm hoping a mod can step in and shine some light on how the link actually works.

Also, is there anyway to get a list of moderators, so we know exactly who to contact in case of a problem? So far ron (shifted) is the only mod that i've contacted who fairly and rationally answers questions that I pose to him in a PM.

BTW I've also tried the GME phone number to get the same answers and left a message with my number and name - no results there either...

The last time I've tried was this week. The other time I used the contact us link was within six months. I don't remember exactly, but I could probably find out if would help.

I just alwasy see the "contact us" as the final resolution and source of explaination, so if it doesn't work or no one checks up on it, it would be nice to have a list of all the mods.

There's prolly a reason why there isn't a published list of the mods....

Ok, so I guess the more important question is who fields the questions sent to the contact us link, probably the moderators, right?

Your best bet is to use the Moderator account if you have a general site issue, as that goes to everyone on the list. If you have a specific complaint about a specific moderator, you can try to contact them individually, or address your complaint directly to Dave through the contact us link. Try to understand that you most likely won't get an immediate response. Sending something to any of those links and complaining 2 hours later that you got no response is not only pointless, but may also reduce your chances of getting a response at all. Believe me when I tell you that Dave reads every single email that goes through the Contact Us link.

Hmmm, i always get a quick response. Then again i usually only use it when i have a valid question or problem.

chances are, you're not going to get a direct reply to your inbox.

however, if something needs to be taken care of that Dave needs input from the other mods, we discuss it via e-mail. once everything is figured out, sometimes action is taken, sometimes not. it all depends on the circumstances. oh yeah, and how you word your "contact us" message has a lot to deal with it. a polite e-mail will get more results than a cuss-fest rant.

I can relate to that...there are probably A LOT of cuss-fest rants. So where did the list of mods go?

ive only had to use the contact button once and i got a responce in less then 24 hours.

i only use the contact button when a thread needs to be locked. i once used it to report a bug, which then dave did email me back about but thats all i use it for

just PM the Forum Moderator account...it's THE easiest way to get anything across.

Then the "Contact US" link should have the three mentioned ways in that link to contact the Mods/Admin

The person can then go from there and decide who it really needs to be addressed by, since the "Contact US", as of right now, only goes to ONE person

it was probably deleted, and you should use the general Forum Moderator account, as they all see it and react quickly to messages left there...i can vouch for it, as i've used it quite frequently. i'll keep repeating that as long as you keep repeating your question.

Exactly the point I was trying to make earlier when I told you to take a closer look at rule #20. If what you sent to the Contact Us link was as "well versed" as what you sent to the Moderator account, I can see why you didn't get a response.

It's not always what you say, but it's ALWAYS how you say it. As for the list of moderators, I quoted that from an old post I made when someone wanted to know who the moderators were. That was long before the "Forum Moderator" account was created for us to use, and to provide members with a central point of contact and now it makes sense that one of the other mods has removed that list.

Laura is right...if you send a message to the Moderator account (that doesn't look like the one above) you will generally get a response.

actually, don't PM the Moderator account, cause that will only get seen if and when a mod signs into that account (not too often). click the e-mail link in the profile, that will send an e-mail to all mods.
